Above are the UV proof
electrical dye application process that imbeds many shades of brown, to very
dark brown, to brownish sand color, and brownish tan color onto aluminum
parts. Once applied, the color is imbedded and can never be removed.
These brownish shaded of brown color are permanent and if you left the part
out in the Sahara Desert for a year, you would see very little fade to NO
fade in color. Dye CANNOT be removed or stripped once they are
applied. We offer this specialty dyeing process to your anodizng
system and you can apply any of the colors above or below to you part.
This dyeing process is UV proof and cannot be stripped once it has been
applied. It is PERMANENT.

Above is permanent dye process information about the
electrical dye process that was added in 2018. The anodizing system
was installed in 2006 and it is described below. Tony loved the new 30
shades of brown dyeing process so much that he stopped using conventional
dye for all colors except for Black, blue, and red.
THIS IS A
COMMERCIAL ANODIZING SHOP. IT IS SET UP TO DO
DECORATIVE ANODIZING ON CUSTOM CNC MACHINED RACE CAR PARTS
THAT NEEDS A MATTE AND SEMI BRIGHT FINISH ON THEM. IT CONSIST OF A 16
TANK LINE AND NUMEROUS DRUMS AS EXTRA RINSE TANKS. THE SHOP IS LOCATED IN A SMALL
1200 SQUARE FEET BUILDING. IT HAS A CLOSED LOOP WASTE TREATMENT SYSTEM THAT TREATS
ALL RINSE WATER WASTE IN HOUSE. THIS MEANS THERE IS NO DISCHARGE INTO PUBLIC WASTE
WATER SEWERS WHICH NEGATES ANY NEED FOR A COUNTY SEWER PERMIT. THE WATER IS SENT INTO THE STORAGE TANK LOCATED BEHIND THE
LINE, THEN THE WATER IS EVAPORATED INTO RAW SLUDGE AND STORED IN A CHEMICAL DRUM
UNTIL THE DRUM IS FILLED. THE WASTE IS THEN PICKED UP BY AN OUTSIDE CONTRACTOR FOR
DISPOSAL.


THE
ANODIZING TANK ABOVE USES 1000 SERIES ALUMINUM CATHODES WITH
5/8" SOLID COPPER BUSSING AND 1" BUSSING FOR HANGING
THE RACKS AND PARTS. NOTICE THE
ANODIZING PROCESS IS CURRENTLY IN PROGRESS. THE RECTIFICATION IS PROVIDED BY A 150
AMP SCR RECTIFIER. THE TANK IS CHILLED WITH A POLY-SCIENCE CHILLER (BELOW RECTIFIER) USING
A TITANIUM DROP-IN HEAT EXCHANGER.

ON THE LEFT IS THE WIDE VIEW
OF THE LINE. NOTICE THE CONTAINMENT WALL AROUND THE ANODIZING LINE TO
CONTAIN ANY MAJOR SPILLAGE. IN THE MIDDLE IS A SMALL RO/DI WATER UNIT TO
MAKE UP WATER FOR THE ANODIZING PROCESS, DYES, AND THE ROOM TEMP SEALER.

CONTAINING THE WASTE WATER FOR EVAPORATION TREATMENT.

ON THE
TOP LEFT IS THE U-SHAPED TITANIUM HEAT EXCHANGER IN THE ANODIZING TANK
WHICH IS CONNECTED TO THE CHILLER. THIS PICTURE WAS TAKEN

RIGHT AND TOP CENTER IS THE
OWNER HARD AT WORK ANODIZING THE RACE CAR PARTS. ALL OF THE RINSE
TANKS ARE AIR AGITATED. THE ANODIZING TANK, THE DYE TANKS, AND THE
KOOL ANODIZING SEALER ARE ALL AGITATED VIA FLOW KING
FILTER SYSTEMS. ALSO NOTICE THAT THE HEATED AND CHILLED TANKS ARE ALL
INSULATED WITH CONVENTIONAL ALUMINUM INSULATION. BELOW ARE EXAMPLES OF
SOME OF THE PARTS DONE USING OUR VIBRANT BLUE DYE. THE VARIATION IN BLUE DYE SHADE WAS DONE ON PURPOSE
BY VARYING THE RETENTION TIMES IN THE DYE TANK. THE
FINISH THE CUSTOMER WAS SEEKING IS A MATTE FINISH ON SOME PARTS AND A SEMI
BRIGHT ON OTHERS. THEY DID NOT WANT A GLOSSY FINISH ON THIS PARTICULAR LOT
