The systems listed on this page are used to coat steel or iron with a black or zinc coating to protect it from rust and oxidization.  Our OX black oxide systems and zinc coating systems will conform to almost all MIL specs as well as private company specs.  Neither process will change the outer dimension of the part being coated.  OH black oxide can be used when MIL spec conformity is not an issue.  OH will meet many specs but for getting the best true MIL or company spec work use the OX product.

Our two different Black Oxide system are hot blackening systems.  They are easy to use and easy to control.  The Black-OX kits and systems below will conform to the military spec MIL-C-13924 and MIL-C-16173 as well as many other specs.  This is something that no room temperature blackening systems can claim.  The only two advantages to using a room temp black oxide system are not having to heat the chemical and not having to use a heated chemical.  Other than that, there are absolutely no advantages, none, to using a cold black oxide system.  There are a dozen of automotive and military specs (MIL spec) out there for black oxide process and the cold process does not meet even one, not one spec.  If you are seeking the best blackening process for steel, stick with a hot black oxide system.  Our kits below will make 5, 10, 20, and 50 gallons.  It comes complete with the four steps that conforms to most specifications.

BLACK-OH Kits: Comes with the make up for Electroscrub and  Black-OH black oxide. This system is used when conforming to MIL specs are not a critical issue.

5 gallons - $280        10 gallons - $469      20 gallons - $825

50 gallons - $1750    Larger systems as well as complete commercial lines are available upon request.  Call for more information.

Black Oxide Post Dip (for extra corrosion resistance on your black oxide parts - required for MIL-C-13924), comes ready to use - $47 per four liter bottle

BLACK-OX Kits: Comes with the make up for Electroscrub and  Black-OX black oxide. This system conforms to almost all black oxide MIL specs.

5 gallons - $360.00        10 gallons - $625      20 gallons - $1090

50 gallons - $2,295    Larger systems as well as complete commercial lines are available upon request.  Call for more information.

Black Oxide Post Dip (for extra corrosion resistance on your black oxide parts - required for MIL-C-13924), comes ready to use - $47 per four liter bottle

Zinc phosphate is a coating used on steel or iron parts as a rust inhibitor or as a pre painting or pre coating to give the part a lot more protection than the paint or post phosphate coating would give by itself.  Our Zi Phos product conforms to military spec MIL-P-16232, as well as other military, company, and automotive specs.  This process is easy to learn, easy to use, and easy to maintain.  This kit comes in 5, 10, 20, and 50 gallons and like the black oxide kit above, it comes with all the steps to conform to most zinc phosphate specifications.

Zi Phos Kits: Comes with the make up for Electroscrub, ZI PHOS, and Post Phosphate Dip

5 gallons - $396.00       10 gallons - $669.00     20 gallons - $1,138.00

50 gallons - $2,380.00 Larger systems as well as complete commercial lines are available upon request.  Call for more information.
